Festival Registration Information
Columbia College will be able to provide hosting for the first 20 out of state participants. The participants will be provided accommodations on campus for a low fee of $30 per night. They also will be provided with 3 meals per day for a discounted price of $29 per day.
Check in is available on Friday, June 22st. Check out is availabe on Monday morning, June 25th.
Transportation:
We have Columbia Metropolitan Airoport in Columbia,SC. If you choose the fly to Charlotte, NC shuttle bus service is available for discounted rate ($44). Make sure to mention Southern Guitar Festival and Competition. It will take you directly to Columbia College. www.ColumbiaCharlotteShuttle.com
You might be able to find direct flight to Charleston, SC and use Greyhound bus service ($30) to get to Columbia, SC.
If you are planning to compete at GFA after participating at Southern Guitar Festival and Competition Greyhound bus service is available from Columbia to Charleston as well ($30). Departure from Columbia Monday 6/25 at 12:40 p.m. arrival to Charleston at 3:30 p.m.
Participation fee:
Division I- $85 (includes free admition to all events)
Division II-$55 (includes free admition to all events)
Division III-$35 (includes one ticket to a concert of your choice)
Registration deadline is June 10th.
Performers for the master class will be chosen on a first-come, first-serve basis. Participation fee is $40.
Due to limited space, only six students will have the opportunity to perform in masterclasses for Matt Palmer. If chosen, the performer will be notified by May 29th. The master class fee will be refunded if an applicant is not chosen for the master class.
All registration fees can be paid by check or online. The application is not complete until the payment is received.
